Coupons & More – Is it Possible to Save Any More on E-cigs?

When it comes to getting your very first starter kit for electronic cigarettes, you can usually find some great savings. With a little bit of research though, you may be able to save even more. It is possible to find coupons and promotions or take advantage of specials to save money and get your starter kit for an even better deal. From discounts to free shipping, there are usually several different ways to save when it comes to electronic cigarettes.

Of course, part of the reason for this is that the market for different types of e-cigs has become very competitive. For this reason even if you do not find specials on the brand you like, you may want to contact them personally to see if they would be willing to honor a competitor coupon. The best thing to do is to narrow down your search to the brands you are interested in and then hunt for coupons.

Seek and Find Your Coupons

There are several ways you can find coupons and ongoing offers through online searches. Your best bet is usually to start with the e-cig brand website first. This is a good way to find current deals and promotions. You may even find a way to sign up for a newsletter to be notified of specials.

Another popular way for companies to promote themselves these days is through social media networking and marketing. More than likely the brand you like has presence on social sites such as Facebook, Twitter or Google+. Often by “liking” them on Facebook and becoming a fan, you may be eligible for discounts. In other words, it may take a little prowling, but before you hit “purchase” on your electronic cigarette cart, you should look for an even better deal.

What’s Available

The trick is finding a deal that really is a deal. For instance, many companies may offer deals such as free shipping. Of course that usually comes with one of three strings attached.

  1. You have to spend more than a certain amount – This is fine if you want to add some flavor cartridges to your starter kit order anyway. However if you were hoping to get a feel for whether you even like the brand first before investing more money, this may end up causing you to spend more than you want in the beginning.
  1. The starter kits are not that cheap. We have often found you can either get a great deal on a starter kit and then pay dearly for the shipping or get free shipping but pay more for the starter kit than you would with the competition. The bottom line is that usually one way or the other you are paying for the “free” shipping.
  1. You must enroll in an autopay plan. These are becoming standard with a good majority of products you buy online. The idea is to get consumers to enroll in an autopay plan that usually means there is a charge per month to your credit card or your checking or savings account. For instance, as incentive to sign up for autopay and get monthly refills on cartridges you may get free shipping on your initial starter kit and even the monthly shipments. The trick here, of course, may be getting out of the autopay plan down the road when you want.

If you are willing to accept any of these terms, however, you are more than likely going to be fine with getting your free shipping as a reward. Just be aware of what you are getting into before simply being enticed by the word “FREE.”

Other Possible Savings Opportunities

The majority of what you will find online will help you get either a certain dollar amount off or a percentage off of your total order cost. This is all usually before any shipping or possible taxes but will still save you money. One of the best coupons we have seen recently is for as much as 30% off your total order.

Keep in mind even some coupons or specials come with stipulations. It may be that you have to spend a certain dollar amount, order within a few hours before the promotion expires or get a bigger stater kit than you had planned. Try searching multiple sites to find the best deal for the brands you are considering.

Remember, try not to get pressured into taking advantage of a deal immediately unless the brand has an open return policy. Saving a few dollars but hating the starter kit brand you try and being stuck with it is not really a deal. When all else fails, trying hitting the company up for a better deal and see if they will do what they need to in order to win you over as their customer.
